Will RoboCore Experience be held inside the Mauá Institute of Technology?
Yes! RCX2026 has a new home and will take place in the gymnasium area next to the soccer field. Admission for visitors is FREE, meaning no ticket is required to watch the battles.

What day do I need to arrive?

For teams competing in Combat Robot categories, arrival on October 9th at 9:00 AM is mandatory for check-in and safety inspection. For teams competing in other categories, we also recommend arriving on October 9th to complete check-in comfortably and avoid missing the start of competitions on October 10th at 11:00 AM.


Do I need to be a college student to compete in RCX?
No, anyone can compete. Just create a team and build a robot according to the rules of each category.

Will RCX registrations have more than one pricing tier?
Yes. Check the registration fees and sign up on the official RCX website: https://events.robocore.net/rcx-2026/entries

Is food included in the RCX registration fee?
No, all additional costs are the responsibility of each competitor.

Are minors allowed to register?
Yes, but a signed parental authorization form must be physically presented during RCX check-in (click here to download).
  • Competitors under 16 years old: The authorization must be notarized.

  • Competitors aged 17-18: Only a guardian's signature is required.


Will RCX have an exclusive category for minors?
Yes. This edition will feature the Junior Line Follower category. However, minors may participate in all other categories as well.

What do I need to know to compete in the ARTBOT category?
To participate in the ArtBot category, the project must be pre-approved by the organization. After registering for the event, the team must send project details (such as a video, photos, and measurements of the ArtBot) to events@robocore.net.
  • Submission deadline: October 31st, 2026

  • If the project is not approved, the registration will be canceled, and the fee will be refunded.

Will all category competitions happen simultaneously?

Yes. Match brackets and exact schedules will be defined after the safety inspection on October 9th, since robots that fail inspection or do not attend are removed from the competition. As usual, all updated information will be published on:

Therefore, we recommend that each radio-controlled robot have its own transmitter and driver.


Will there be competitions in all categories every day?
Yes, on October 10-12, except for October 9, which is reserved for Combat Robot inspections and competitor check-ins.

Will the team pit area be open 24 hours?

No. The pit area will only be open during event hours:

• October 9th–11th: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• October 12th: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM


Can my team leave equipment in the pits overnight?

Neither RCX nor Mauá is responsible for any competitor’s equipment. We strongly recommend taking your equipment with you at the end of each day.

The on-site security team is responsible for protecting the venue and the facilities of the Mauá Institute of Technology.


Are there any dress code requirements for the pit area?
Yes, the following dress code rules apply in the pit area:
✅ Required: Long pants and closed-toe shoes.
❌ Prohibited: Shorts, skirts, flip-flops, sandals, and high heels.
❌ No exposed midriffs: T-shirts must fully cover the torso.
❌ Loose hair is not allowed: Hair must be tied back, regardless of gender.
❌ No personal accessories for safety reasons.
✅ Safety glasses are mandatory when operating rotary tools, drills, abrasive tools, or performing electronic soldering.


What are the voltage requirements for the power outlets at the event?

All outlets available at the workbenches will be 220V. If your team requires 110V equipment, you must bring your own voltage transformers.


Can I use a grinder and perform electronic soldering at the event?
Yes, two specific rooms will be available for grinding and soldering to ensure a safe environment for these activities.

Where can my team stay during the event?
